Children advocacy group gets boost from e-Learning Jamaica
Advocacy group Hear the Children’s Cry has been gifted a critical technology upgrade by e-Learning Jamaica, the public sector company dedicated to helping Jamaicans keep up with, and benefit from, modern technology.
The multifaceted charity, which has been providing strong advocacy and innovative practical programmes for at-risk children and their families for more than two decades, received a new laptop and tablet from e-Learning which also provided the technical expertise to install the software and help transfer the group’s administrative processes to these modern facilities.
During the handover, e-Learning Jamaica CEO Andrew Lee had high praises for Hear The Children’s Cry.
“e-Learning Jamaica recognises and deeply respects the critical role that Hear the Children’s Cry fulfils in advocating for Jamaica’s most vulnerable children, enabling their voices to be heard on issues of paramount importance and tirelessly working to protect their fundamental rights. Our company unreservedly supports the outstanding work that the organisation is undertaking in this regard.
“Our contribution… is offered with the hope of expanding the group’s operational capacity for documentation, outreach and the impactful delivery of their child-focused programmes,” said Lee.
“This collaboration underscores our steadfast commitment to facilitating broader access to technologies that empower education, strengthen advocacy, and champion inclusivity for all.”
In accepting the donation, Hear The Children’s Cry Director Andrea Harrisingh pointed to the significance of the upgrade.
“Your support is not just a gift — it is an investment in the future of our Jamaican children,” said Harrisingh.
“These tools gifted to us by e-Learning, will open doors to learning, empower young minds, and help us continue nurturing hope and opportunity for those who need it most. Thank you for standing with us in our mission to protect our children,” added Harrisingh.
