Woman In Love expected to shine in Good Prospect Trophy
Caymanas Park is gearing up for a thrilling day of horse racing on Saturday with two races, in particular, expected to draw plenty of attention from fans and punters alike.
The spotlight will shine brightest on the Good Prospect Trophy, which has attracted a competitive field of eight runners. Headlining the event is the talented filly
Woman In Love, who will have the services of champion jockey Raddesh Roman. Known for her consistent performances, she is tipped as one of the main contenders for the six-and-a-half furlong event.
However, she will not have it all her own way. Enthusiasm, with veteran jockey Omar Walker in the saddle, and Kimuchi, who will benefit from the apprentice allowance with Emielo McLean aboard, are both coming into the race with solid recent form. Rounding out the field are Riley J, Cosalivin, Khaleesi, Native Flyer, and Simply Enchanting, all of whom have the ability to spring a surprise in what promises to be a closely contested feature.
Supporting the main event is the Henry George Harrison Sr Memorial Cup, which will also be run over six and a half furlongs. The race has drawn a field of 11 runners and is shaping up to be an exciting co-feature on the day. Never, Military Light, Successful Man, Himaya and Cherry Blossom are among the leading contenders in the event.
