Glitz, glamour and food heralded the 26th staging of the Jamaica Observer Table Talk Food Awards, powered by Mastercard, held at its new venue, the East Lawns of King’s House in St Andrew, on Thursday, June 26. Luxury event planner Shikima Hinds’ Serengeti-inspired design — complete with towering pampas grass, warm ambient lighting, and sculptural branches — provided the backdrop to honour more than a dozen awardees, whose contributions continue to fuel the growth and immense potential of Jamaica’s gastronomy sector. The evening’s crowning moments included the presentation of the Chairman’s Award to Coldfield Manufacturing Ltd and the Lifetime Achievement Award to KFC, cementing a night in which culinary excellence met high fashion, attracting the finest from Jamaica and the Caribbean’s gastronomy industry.
