Stalk Ashley, MXSSIVH reconnect for Therapy
Dancehall producer MXSSIVH links up with Stalk Ashley for Therapy, the second single from his upcoming debut album Live Fast.
It was released on June 27 via VP Records.
The track pulls from the New York-rooted subgenre known as “sexy drill”, blending fluttering hi-hats with sultry melodies.
Stalk Ashley takes the lead with a performance that spells out her obsession with a particularly memorable partner, one she’s willing to prioritise over the rest.
The video, directed by Ruption, also premiered Friday.
Therapy follows a string of collaborations between the two, including Really Like U with Skillibeng and Stay With Me with Sean Paul, both featured on Stalk Ashley’s 2024 debut album Stalky the Bratt.
The Montego Bay-raised, boundary-pushing producer MXSSIVH continues to shape the sound of modern dancehall. Since his 2020 breakout on Intence’s New Year, he’s gone on to produce era-defining tracks like Rytikal’s Chosen and Squash’s Big Breeze. He’s also expanded into hip hop, with placements for OT7 Quanny (OK OK), Famous Dex (Fire), and an unreleased cut with Trippie Redd and Playboi Carti. His production on Byron Messia’s Believe, featuring Jahshii, landed a Billboard plaque, while Kizaru’s Say No Mo went 2x platinum off his work.
MXSSIVH is gearing up to release Live Fast, led by the single Ravin with Najeeriii. His growing catalogue includes work with Vybz Kartel, Squash, Valiant, along with an unreleased track by Playboi Carti and Trippie Redd.
Therapy is now available on all digital platforms.
