Well done, Paul ‘Samfo’ Lyn!
Dear Editor,
I just want to extend heartfelt congratulations to prominent Manchester businessman and long-standing justice of the peace Paul “Samfo” Lyn for recently being awarded the prestigious Governor General’s Achievement Award for Manchester.
As a resident of Christiana, where Lyn operates some of his businesses, I can attest to his philanthropic spirit and corporate social responsibility. Lyn is one of the business operators in Manchester who is passionate about giving back to the community and uplifting ordinary citizens. He puts his money where his mouth is.
Every year he assists many students with school supplies and financial contributions through his pharmacy and meat shop (JWIN Pharmacy and Samfo Meats). He can always be counted on to support community events in tangible ways, and he is always accessible as a justice of the peace and community leader.
The Governor General’s Achievement Award recently bestowed on him is a well-deserved recognition for someone who has given a lot to the communities of Spalding and Christiana, in particular, and the parish of Manchester in general. If we had more people like Lyn, who are willing to give back some of the profits from their businesses, Jamaica would be a kinder and gentler place to live, raise families, do business, and praise God.
Keep up the great work, Paul Lyn. Your contribution to the parish of Manchester has not gone unnoticed or unrecognised. I know that you don’t do what you do for applause or award, but I urge you to bask in the moment and cherish this award. I am proud of you and I know the people of Manchester are equally appreciative and proud of you. Kudos to your commitment and dedication towards community and country.
I am praying for God’s richest blessings upon you and your entrepreneurial journey. The word is always love for patriotic Jamaicans.
