Nhance pours his heart and soul into Monsta of My Era EP
Dancehall artiste Nhance says his début EP Monsta of My Era, released June 20 via Sweet Music Productions/Tego Boss Music, showcases his musical growth while highlighting things that have been on his mind.
“I have grown a lot over the past few years musically, and this EP gave me the chance to say things that I have been wanting to say; things that have been on my mind,” the 23-year-old singjay told the Jamaica Observer’s Splash recently.
Monsta of My Era features seven tracks, among them Big Energy, Mama (a tribute to his mother, recording artiste Gaza Sheba), and
Stay to Myself, which was positioned at #15 on local YouTube Trending for Music up to Thursday morning.
“It’s kind of hard to choose, but those are the songs from the EP that I would say are my favourites. I had some collaborations, but we removed them from the final track list, because we wanted the people to hear Nhance and what I have to offer,” said the Nuh Frighten artiste.
Within the space of three years, Nhance has been on tour, released a bunch of trending hits such as Monster, Love & Pain, No Love, and
Mindset, while staying true to the music. His thought-provoking songs have earned him a strong fan base locally, and he is thankful for the support that the EP has received thus far.
“Di people dem love the EP and it has been getting good support. Thanks to the producers who worked on the project,” said Nhance, whose real name is Kenneil Lawrence.
The artiste was born in St Thomas, but he moved to Spanish Town, St Catherine, and later relocated to Portmore in the same parish.
He made his musical début in 2022.
Nhance is gearing up for a promotional run in the Caribbean, the United States, and Europe to promote Monsta of My Era.
