Ninja Kid releases dance track
Dancehall artiste Ninja Kid has resonated with fans all around the world with his newest track Long Dingy Ding Ding.
“The song is doing really well. People automatically start moving once they hear it and it’s a refreshing sound in the parties. Everybody has been saying they miss when dancehall would have men and women dancing. I sing about what I love and what I see around me. I hope to do a remix of it with Aidonia and Vybz Kartel,” he told the Jamaica Observer’s Splash.
Long Dingy Ding Ding was produced by Triple L Records.
Born in Allman Town in the Corporate Area, and raised in Nannyville Gardens, the entertainer has been recording professionally since 1989.
“I’ve loved it from I was a baby. I grew up in a yard where a lot of singers and DJs came and ‘hold a vibes’ with my father. [People] like Dennis Brown; Bob Marley; Peter Tosh; Bunny Wailer; Lone Ranger, my uncl; and General Echo. So, that’s why I choose this lane,” he said.
Some of Ninja Kid’s other releases include Dem (featuring Markus Myrie), Gal Like We, Before God Come, Boom Bye Bye, and others. He has another to be released soon titled DM.
With almost 40 years of experience, Ninja Kid is imploring acts to remember their values as they climb the industry’s ladder.
“Keep on doing music and help some of the new talent that are entering the music industry. Have a clean heart and be respectful to the elders in the business and you will make it. That is what I did,” he said.
