Stevie Face says reggae is still alive and well
Popular reggae singer Stevie Face is confident that reggae music is still alive and well.
The humble St Thomas native, who is also a successful entrepreneur and philanthropist, says his new single, I’d Love You To Want Me (Want You), is proof that people all over the world still appreciate good reggae music.
“This song is living proof that people all over the world still love reggae music. It’s currently receiving strong rotation on radio stations in Jamaica, the UK, the US, Canada, Africa, Europe, and throughout the Caribbean. My social media inboxes are filled with messages from fans from all over the world expressing their love for my new single,” he said.
The lovers’ rock crooner added: “There are people out there spreading a false narrative that reggae is dying in Europe and other parts of the world. These people would love to see reggae die, but that will never happen, as long as reggae artistes and musicians in Jamaica continue to produce great reggae music.”
The video for I’d Love You To Want Me (Want You) was released on June 6. Since then, it has racked up over a million views on
YouTube.
“The response to the video has been tremendous; the analytics show that it’s been viewed by people in various territories. I’m very happy for all the support it’s getting from my fans all over the world,” he said.
Stevie Face is currently putting the finishing touches on his fourth studio album.
“I’m working with Billboard-charting producers Mikey Bennett, Rohan “Snowcone” Fuller, and a cadre of top musicians, including Lenky Marsden and Kirkledove on this project. Everything is coming together nicely, it’s going to be a great album.”
