Reggae Sumfest and visuEats partner for cashless food experience
In a move to enhance the festival experience, Downsound Entertainment, organisers of Reggae Sumfest, has partnered with visuEats, a Caribbean digital dining experience platform, to introduce what it calls a first-of-its-kind cashless food pre-ordering system for festivalgoers.
The partnership revolutionises how patrons interact with food vendors during Jamaica’s biggest music festival, organisers said in a press release, noting that attendees can skip long lines and avoid the hassle of cash or card transactions.
With just a few taps on the visuEats app, patrons can browse photo and video menus, pre-order and pay for meals from participating vendors, and simply collect when ready, the release stated.
“It only makes sense for a brand like Reggae Sumfest to set the pace in offering this level of convenience, hospitality, and digital innovation to its patrons,” said Sophronia McKenzie, Founder and CEO of visuEats. “We’re proud to be the first to deliver this kind of experience at a major festival in Jamaica. Food is such an integral part of our culture, and this partnership makes it even more accessible, enjoyable, and seamless for everyone—which is exactly what our platform was built to do.”
The release touted that the collaboration speaks to the shared commitment of both Reggae Sumfest and
visuEats to transform the festival landscape, blending cutting-edge technology with Jamaican hospitality and flavor.
Festivalgoers are encouraged to download the visuEats app ahead of Reggae Sumfest to take advantage of this new offering. Participating vendors will be available in-app, ready to take orders on show nights.
