Dadda rebrands as Bellwetha
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Bounty Killer’s former protégé Dadda, has changed his name and rebranded as Bellwetha.
“Bellwetha a di brand and I am here to dominate with great music and flair. I have been recording non-stop for months and I have been releasing singles, which have been very well received locally and internationally. My goal is simple, work and win,” Bellwetha told Observer Online.
When asked the reason for the name change, Bellwetha shared that as an adult, his life and brand are at different levels, hence an upgrade was essential.
“When yuh a child yuh do things a certain way and when yuh a big man do tings a different way, suh the name change is just a reflection of my personal and career growth. Bellwetha name a ring in the streets right now suh obviously it a work,” he said.
Bellwetha stepped onto the music scene at the age of nine and he spent his adolescent and teenage years performing locally and internationally before taking a break from music to spend some time reflecting and spending time with his family. Fast forward to 2025, he has resurfaced with a new name, new image and a body of new music.
In recent months, he has released songs including Powerful, Economy and Richa Who.
