FitFest raises the stakes with $250,000 Corporate Combat Challenge

Corporate Jamaica prepares for the ultimate fitness test this Saturday, July 12, at the Fitfest Party and Expo Corporate Combat Challenge. The fitness competition will take place at the event’s Summer Body Edition at NWC Sports Club in Mona, where teams will battle through a Spartan-style obstacle course for a record-breaking $250,000 cash grand prize.

Among the teams already registered are Black Fuse Fitness, Facey Commodity Company, Proven Wealth Ltd, PriceSmart Jamaica, National Irrigation Commission Ltd, Sagicor Jamaica and BodyByKurt Bootcamp Challengers.

The centrepiece of this edition, the Corporate Combat Challenge competition promises to test the strength, agility, and cardiovascular endurance of the competitors in an exhilarating battle for supremacy. Each team will be comprised of five persons, and must have at least one female team member. The winners will walk away with $250,000 in cash in addition to the title, bragging rights and the Corporate Combat Challenge trophy.

“We’re taking corporate wellness to the next level with this challenge,” said Kurt Dunn, CEO of BodyByKurt Fitness and chief organiser of the event. “The $250,000 prize represents our commitment to motivating companies to prioritise employee health and team building. We want to see Jamaica’s
corporate sector embrace fitness with the same passion that they bring to their boardrooms. So I encourage companies with a fitness and wellness programme to show up for their team members. Register and let’s see which team has what it takes to conquer our ultimate fitness test.”

The Corporate Combat Challenge is open to teams from banking, BPO, retail, technology, hospitality, government, and other sectors. Teams can register by sending an email to information@bodybykurt.com and a registration fee of $25,000 per team, with the extended deadline set for Thursday, July 10, 2025.

Building on the success of the New Year Edition, which drew overwhelming community support, the Summer Body Edition promises an expanded lineup of family-friendly activities while maintaining the event’s signature commitment to free family fitness programming from 4 PM to 10 PM. The event will feature pre-event fitness and social media challenges, alongside the signature mix of high-energy workout sessions including Step Aerobics, Dancehall Fitness, Soca Aerobics, Hip-Hop, and Boot Camp sessions led by Jamaica’s top certified group fitness instructors.

“FitFest has always been about breaking down the barriers to fitness participation,” Dunn continued. “By keeping the admission free while offering this exciting corporate challenge, we’re creating opportunities for both individual wellness and workplace team building. The energy we saw in January was phenomenal, and we expect even greater participation as families take on their summer fitness goals.”

The popular Kiddies Village returns, providing a safe and entertaining environment for children with rides, games, and supervised activities while their parents participate in the fitness programming. The event will also feature wellness screenings including blood pressure checks, glucose testing, and nutrition counselling from various health sponsors.

The FitFest Summer Body Edition boasts strong corporate support from an impressive roster of sponsors including CHASE, Haliborange, ZIP103 FM, CVM TV, Starlight Production, Caledonia Outdoors Advertising Agency, LASCO Oats, Caribbean Dreams, National Baking Company Ltd., Sagicor Life Jamaica, British Caribbean Insurance Company (BCIC) Jamaica, Pegasus Hotel, Affirm Ambulance and many others.

Lucky attendees will have opportunities to win exciting prizes throughout the event, reinforcing FitFest’s commitment to making wellness both rewarding and enjoyable for the entire family.
