JN Foundation opens applications for 2025 PEP scholarships
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Students and guardians are being invited to apply for the JN Foundation 2025 Primary Exit Profile (PEP) scholarships, which is now open.
Students who achieved a placement score of 320 or higher in this year’s grade six PEP exams are encouraged to apply for one of 17 five-year scholarships or 10 one-year grants, designed to ease the financial burden of secondary education.
Under this year’s programme, 14 students will be awarded the JN Foundation PEP parish scholarship; three students will receive the JN Bank easi-save county scholarship, and 10 students will benefit from one-time grants from JN Money Services.
In addition, 20 scholarships will be awarded to children of employees of the Jamaica National Group.
Claudine Allen, general manager of the JN Foundation, said, “We are proud to support the educational dreams of our nation’s youth through these scholarships. At the heart of our mission is a deep belief in the power of education to transform lives, families and communities. It brings us great joy to invest in our future leaders and help ease the financial burden so they can focus on achieving their full potential.”
Allen pointed out that scholarship recipients are integrated into the JN Scholars community, gaining access to enriching experiences such as annual summer camps featuring local and international speakers; workshops on goal setting, stress management and financial literacy; and exclusive events with JN Group leaders. They are also set to benefit from a new mentorship programme that is being launched in the upcoming academic year.
“We are proud to play a role in shaping Jamaica’s future by supporting our young people. This is how we build communities by investing in lives,” Allen added.
To qualify, applicants must have sat the 2025 PEP exams; not be recipients of a government or long-term scholarship; and have an existing relationship for at least one year with a JN Group company, whether through JN Bank, JN Fund Managers, JN Life Insurance, JN Bank Small Business Loans, Jamaica Automobile Association, or JN Money Services.
