Baby cham, Jr Gong and Stephen Marley link for Hustling In My Blood
NEW YORK, United States — Grammy-nominated Jamaican superstar Baby Cham, also known as Cham, has connected with multiple Grammy award-winning reggae royalty, Stephen Marley and Damian “Jr Gong” Marley for the hard-hitting street track Hustling In My Blood.
Out now on all digital platforms via Cham’s Lawless Army Music imprint, the collaboration serves as the début single off of Baby Cham’s upcoming fourth studio album
Sherlock, slated for a July 25 release.
“This song is an anthem!” Cham states, “a true hustler’s anthem. It reminds people that you can make it through anything; you just can’t give up!”
The track boasts production from world-renowned producers The FaNaTiX, whose catalogue includes records with heavyweights Vybz Kartel, Giggs, Popcaan, Stylo G, and Nicki Minaj, to name a few.
An official Hustling In My Blood video, filmed at various locations in Miami, premiered on Baby Cham’s YouTube channel. The new visuals, directed by Jay Lenz (credits include Finesse2tymes and Plies), feature impassioned performances from all three titans of the genre, driving home the message that no matter the occupation, hustle will be required to achieve success.
Hustling In My Blood is a musical mix of grit and triumph, with each artiste bringing his unique lyrical craftsmanship to the table to create an undeniable hit record. Cham and Jr Gong trade spitfire verses over a militant drum beat and familiar horn refrain, while Stephen confidently declares on the chorus:
Hustling ina mi blood, guh for it ina di mud,
Tru the fire and the flood, listen to my every wud,
Whoa, we the strongest of the strongest,
Whoa, we will be here the longest
True to the lyrics, Cham has persevered to become one of the most talented and enduring writers and artistes. Getting his start and still working closely with the great producer and Madhouse Records founder, Dave Kelly, Cham has offered his fans a vibrant look into dancehall and Jamaican culture over the last 25 years with mainstream chart classics Ghetto Story with Alicia Keys and Tables Turn with Foxy Brown, to hits like Vitamin S, Joyride, This Is Why I’m Hot, and special music releases like Lockdown with Olympic gold medallist Usain Bolt.
