Golding apologises for expletive use on campaign trail
People’s National Party President Mark Golding has apologised for uttering an expletive picked up by a hot mic last Friday.
“Last night I was at another function and a pure problem with the microphone and I mutter a little “bc” under my breath. Mi neva mean anybody fi hear it,” the Opposition Leader said Saturday night.
Golding was referencing a PNP meeting in St Ann South West on Friday where, in seeming frustration over a malfunctioning microphone, he cursed out loud enough for it to be heard.

The incident occurred only days after he had condemned the use of what he described as “dirty bad words” on political platforms.
“To anyone who heard it and feel offended, sorry you hear sah, mi neva mean no disrespect. Mi is a humble youth and I would never disrespect Jamaican people,” he said on Saturday.
There has been controversy in recent weeks after foul words were used on the campaign trail prompting apologies and condemnation from either side.
The Jamaica Labour Party’s Everald Warmington who is no stranger to controversy was forced to apologise after he went into an expletive-laden rant in encouraging party supporters to vote for Central Westmoreland candidate George Wright, even if they did not like him.
