16 to battle in 2025 Red Bull Dance Your Style
Red Bull Dance Your Style will make its fifth return to the Jamaican stage this August for a night infused with culture, dance, and high energy.
Sixteen talented dancers from across the island will battle on August 23, 2025 on the lawns of Devon House for the chance to represent Jamaica on the international stage in October of this year.
The competitors, selected by renowned dancer and choreographer Latonya Style, will compete in 1-on-1 battles, showcasing their ability to freestyle under pressure to genres spanning dancehall, reggae, pop, and classic old-school anthems.
With no judges, competitors must earn the crowd’s vote to advance to the next round. The challenge is to adapt on the spot, and create a routine that captures not only the hearts of the crowd, but showcases their own individual style of dance.
This year’s line-up features new and veteran dancers, among them Killer Bean, O’Neil The Great, Londy Smashing, AJ Impact, YUNTRYMADE, Dipgad, Baby Ice, Sir KHAJ, Vonte Immortal, Gryzzly Bear, Neko Diamond, Rey Shady Squad, Sashi Chippy, Smilez Top Notch, Baby Girl Immortal, and Sylva DubaiBaby.
Pumped with excitement for the upcoming event, globally recognized creative Latonya Style shared: “Red Bull Dance Your Style is such a powerful event that truly shines a light on our local dancers. It brings people together to witness the incredible range of talent and creativity we have right here in Jamaica. From old-school flavour to new-school innovation, every performance tells a story. I’m genuinely excited for this year’s staging and encourage everyone to come out and celebrate the top dancers who continue to keep our culture alive and evolving.”
The competition made its début in Jamaica in 2018 and since then has seen four champions, namely Pancho Cautiion (2019), Flexx Cautiion (2021), Joel Immortal (2022) and Skitta Star (2023).
“Dancing is a freeing experience that allows you to express yourself. This competition is important not only to me but to the dance community because it gives dancers a platform to showcase their talent and the opportunity to unlock new opportunities and experiences for their development,” said Skitta Star.
He had words of encouragement for this year’s contestants.
“To this year’s dancers I say work hard, dance harder, and the most important goal is to have fun.”
This year’s staging celebrates Jamaica’s unmatched influence on global dance culture, as the winner will go on to represent the island at the Red Bull Dance Your Style World Final in Los Angeles, California on October 11, 2025, facing off against top freestyle dancers from more than 30 countries.
