Florindia gets it right second time of asking
FLORINDIA, a talented, four-year-old, American-bred filly trained by Arnold Rambally Jr, finally found her footing the second time of asking on Saturday, July 12, 2025. After a disappointing debut on May 24 when she finished down the track in an Overnight Allowance contest, Florindia made amends by dominating a Restricted Allowance III contest over six furlongs (1,200m).
Ridden by Raddesh Roman, Florindia broke well at the gates and quickly took the lead, setting a strong pace ahead of Zulu Warrior, King’s Crown and J Spieth. She maintained her gallop down the backstretch and pulled away from her rivals approaching the distance, crossing the line five lengths clear of Zulu Warrior and Riches to Rags. Florindia’s winning time was 1:14.2 (23.4 x 48.1 x 1:01.0.
