Manufacturer lauds commuters for treatment of JUTC buses
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaicans and the Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) received enthusiastic commendation for their treatment of the bright yellow JUTC buses from the manufacturer of the vehicles on Wednesday.
Speaking at the St Catherine handover of 93 new buses, Vice President of the Export Department at Golden Dragon, Kevin Wang, who was back in Jamaica for his second such event said, “Last year, I was a little bit nervous, so I prepared some papers. After one year, I am standing here, I feel I don’t need to say nothing because my buses, after one year [of] operation, they made the best speech for me.”
Describing his reaction to seeing the buses, which are manufactured in China, operating on the streets of Kingston upon his arrival in the island, he lauded Jamaicans, “To be honest, I nearly cried, as a man I shouldn’t cry but I [saw] all the lovely buses after one year [of] operation and the buses look like new.”
He thanked the JUTC for their dedication to care and upkeep.
“China and Jamaica, they are closer and we will be giving our best to offer the best products not just from China but from our heart,” he promised.
