Dunn’s Electrical and Phil’s Hardware celebrate sports day success
The Shortwood Teachers College Campus on Shortwood Road in St Andrew buzzed with excitement as Phil’s Hardware and Dunn’s Electrical hosted a thrilling sports day recently.
Employees from both building supplies giants gathered to showcase their athletic prowess and team spirit. The atmosphere was electric, with cheers and chants filling the air as participants competed in various events. From spirited relay races to intense football battles and one-on-one duels, the competitions were fierce but friendly.

The event strengthened camaraderie among colleagues and fostered a sense of unity between the two companies. As the day drew to a close, participants and spectators alike left with big smiles, already looking forward to next year’s sports day. The event was a resounding success.

Steve Dunn, the managing director of Dunn’s Electrical explained that Basil Phillips, the principal of Phill’s Hardware, initiated the event.

“I think it is a great Idea putting employees from two great companies to compete in ‘friendly rivalry,” Dunn said.
When the dust cleared, Dunn’s Electrical came out on top amassing most points from the two-team contest.
“We won the sports day, [but] the real winner is the camaraderie both companies showed during and after the festivities,” Dunn continued.
