Madtwin Records launches St Mary Empire for emerging talent
Recognising the lack of recording opportunities for emerging talent from the parish of St Mary, producer Jordon Sibley of Madtwin Records is gearing up to launch St Mary Empire.
Sibley has opted to give talented acts a chance at stardom. The initiative will be a musical collective managed by the label.
“I saw it fit to create a musical hub for the melting pot of talent that exists within the parish and its environs. St Mary is full of talent, however yuh done know inna di rural areas, access to proper recording studios as well as gaining the much-needed exposure can be quite challenging. I want to be the agent of change for the St Mary musical landscape, which is why I am creating the St Mary Empire,” Sibley told Observer Online recently.
Sibley, who grew up in a musical family, has been producing music for over 14 years. He has worked with several acts including Yaksta and Swazz.
“I am passionate about creating a platform for creatives to thrive and collaborate, hence the reason why I decided to launch an online competition online called St Mary Empire rhythm competition, where the winner will receive a grand prize of $100,000. This is my way of giving back to the culture while discovering emerging talent. I want to create a brand that will live on for generations to come. The competition is open to any talent who would like to be a part of the St Mary Empire” Sibley disclosed.
