Police said the suspect is only known at this time as ‘Shawn’ or ‘King’.
Detectives assigned to the Centre for Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA) are urgently seeking information on his whereabouts, the police said in a release on Friday, noting that the investigation was launched when a 44-year-old taxi operator of White House, Ewarton, in St Catherine, was reported to the police in 2024 for sexually assaulting his stepdaughter, who was then 15, and his biological daughter, who was 12 years old when the abuse started.
According to the police, the incidents occurred between 2022 and 2024, noting that in several instances the cabbie also trafficked his daughter and stepdaughter to ‘Shawn’ or ‘King’ as well as to underage boys, where he would collect money following the acts.
The abuse was uncovered by relatives who alerted CISOCA, and an investigation was launched, which led to the discovery of incriminating evidence against the cabbie, including video footage.

The taxi driver pleaded guilty in court and was sentenced to 33 years and eight months in prison for rape, aggravated sexual assault, and sexual intercourse with a person under the age of 16.
He received 15 years for trafficking in persons, 10 years for incest, 10 years for child pornography, and three years for assault occasioning bodily harm. All sentences are to run concurrently.
Superintendent of Police Kerry-Ann Bailey, head of CISOCA, commended the investigative team at the St Catherine CISOCA office for their diligent work that led to the cabbie’s conviction.
“The investigators left no stone unturned in this investigation. They employed several strategic interview techniques to ensure all offences were borne out in the case,” said Superintendent Bailey.
“The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) strongly condemns the actions of this individual and anyone who preys on our children. This sentencing sends a clear message that we are targeting sexual predators and urging all Jamaicans to be vigilant. Please report all sexual offences or child abuse; there is no statute of limitations. No matter when or where it happened, report the incident to us,” she added.
CISOCA investigators are urging the man known as ‘Shawn’ or ‘King’ to report to the Spanish Town Police Station immediately. In the meantime, the public can report sexual offences and child abuse by contacting CISOCA at 876-926-4079, Crime Stop at 311, the police emergency number 119, or by visiting the nearest police station
