T&T nationals now require visas to enter Bermuda
HAMILTON, Bermuda (CMC) — Nationals of Trinidad and Tobago must now have a valid Canadian, United Kingdom or United States visa to enter Bermuda.
This follows the country’s addition to the list of “prohibited nationals” subject to entry restrictions under the Bermuda Immigration and Protection (Prohibition of Entry) (No. 2) Order 2025.
Under the regulations, nationals from countries on the list must either have travel authorisation to enter and re-enter Canada, United Kingdom or United States — which is valid 45 days from the date of intended departure from Bermuda; or a current letter issued by the Government attesting that their spouse is a Bermudian or “belongs to Bermuda”.
The order, which reflects ongoing immigration policy reviews and adjustments in the British overseas territory, took effect last Thursday. It replaces one issued in January.
The previous order listed 109 countries. It has been reduced to 72 in the updated order. Among those removed were Suriname and the Dominican Republic.
The other Caribbean countries that remain on the list are Dominica and Jamaica.
While Cuba, Haiti and Venezuela remain on the list, nationals of those countries can now enter Bermuda with a standard work permit.
