Windies set Australia 190 to win in opening T20
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Roston Chase and skipper Shai Hope blasted half centuries as West Indies posted 189-8 against Australia in the opening Twenty20 cricket match at Sabina Park on Sunday.
Chase, batting at three, top-scored with a 32-ball 60, while captain Shai Hope, who opened the innings, made 55 off 39 deliveries.
Left-hander Shimron Hetmyer struck a blistering 38 off 19 balls.
All-rounder Andre Russell, in his penultimate international match and in front home support in Jamaica, was dismissed for eight.
Left-arm pacer Ben Dwarshuis was the pick of the Australian bowlers with 4-36. His effort helped to restrict the West Indians, who appeared set for a score over 200 runs when they were 159-2 in the 16th over.
