G4S Guardsman, UCASE meeting yields positive results
KINGSTON, Jamaica — A meeting between G4S Guardsman and the Union of Clerical, Administrative, and Supervisory Employees (UCASE) on Wednesday has proven successful in addressing concerns regarding the welfare of security officers.
A joint statement from UCASE and G4S Guardsman indicated that “both parties are fully satisfied with the resolutions presented and have committed to periodic meetings to advise on any changes which may occur”.
In the past, Guardsman and UCASE have butted heads over payment and benefits for the security officers they represent.
During the meeting, G4S Guardsman reportedly provided a full explanation of the technical issues that contributed to undue delays, and strategic steps have been outlined to ensure this does not recur in the future.
Both G4S Guardsman and UCASE reaffirmed their shared commitment to working together in the best interest of the security officers.
“We are optimistic about continuing our engagement in a positive and transparent manner and will maintain open lines of communication moving forward,” they said.
