Fiwi Pool Par to become annual event
Jevaughn Bell, organiser of the inaugural Fiwi Pool Par, which took place last Sunday at Armour Heights in Kingston 8, says the event will now be an annual one.
Bell, who was in high spirits when the Jamaica Observer caught up with him last week Friday, disclosed that based on the crowd support and the high energy of the event it was decided that it will be held each summer thereafter.
“Yes, this was the first-ever staging of Fiwi Pool Par [but] following its massive success, it’s officially being developed into an annual summer experience under the FiwiCampus brand. The patrons enjoyed themselves and the artistes and the DJs delivered a really good experience,” Bell told the Observer.
Among the artistes who performed were 9ine, Yz, Wikidiss, Sossa and current sensation Ayetian, whose
Tip (remix) is currently running the charts.
DJ Nixnax, DJ Aziza, Jubba and Breeze and Carlos A-Team spun the hits that kept patrons dancing throughout the evening.
“The high point was Ayétian’s closing performance, which brought the crowd to peak energy under the evening lights. Right before that, the surprise performance by 9ine x Yz set also caught the audience off-guard in the best way, turning the poolside into a full-blown stage moment,” Bell shared.
He said the event saw more than 500 people in attendance, comprising college students, creatives, and partygoers.
“From early vibes to evening madness, the atmosphere was energetic and full of youthful culture. Several sponsors and small brands came on board to support, and we are grateful for their contribution in making Fiwi Pool Par a success,” said Bell.
