Hanover police probe two fatal crashes involving teenagers
HANOVER, Jamaica — The Hanover police are investigating two fatal crashes that occurred an hour apart, claiming the lives of two teenagers, a male and a female, on Sunday evening.
The police have identified the deceased as 17-year-old Tyla Roberts of Mosquito Cove, Hanover, and 18-year-old Lotonya Chisolm of Spanish Town, St Catherine.
Reports are that about 8:45 pm, Roberts was driving a motorcycle on the Lances Bay main road when he was involved in a three-vehicle crash, involving a Toyota Mark X and a Toyota Corolla Axio.
He sustained multiple injuries and was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Meanwhile, Chisolm was a passenger in a Toyota RAV4 motorcar which crashed with a Toyota Premio motorcar on the Green Island main road about 6:30 pm.
She was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
