New York shooter apparently targeted NFL over brain injury, says mayor
NEW YORK, United States (AFP) — The gunman who killed four people and then committed suicide in a New York (NY) skyscraper was targeting the National Football League (NFL) offices there because he apparently blamed the NFL for brain injuries he believed he had suffered from playing the sport, NY Mayor Eric Adams said Tuesday.
“He did have a note on him. The note alluded to that he felt he had CTE, a known brain injury for those who participated in contact sports. He appeared to have blamed the NFL for his injury,” Adams told CBS News.
