Performance is the key to success, says newcomer Riskii
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Emerging dancehall artiste Riskii says having a good command of the stage, can help artistes in their quest for dominance in the music space.
“One of my strong points is my stage performance. Having good stage craft is critical in getting on shows, working with producers and expanding your fan base. Anytime mi decide fi run pon a stage, mi get the forward from the fans, and as a result, I’ve seen my fan base grow, and many producers are reaching out. I would encourage any new talent to brave up, push yourself out there and get the exposure that you need. Without the exposure, it really makes no sense,” Riskii told Observer Online on Wednesday.
The singjay, who recently released the song Faking which has been generating some buzz online, says he is ready to do the work required to become a household name.
“You have to know what works best for you. Right now, I am putting in the hard work required to get the success that I want to achieve, while making valuable connections musically,” Riskii added.
Riskii, (real name Jaiden Sowell), is originally from Kingston. He presently resides in the United States.
“Living in Jamaica, I have easier access to studios, however, since I moved to America, I have more access to resources and people who can help to enhance my career. I am just looking at what works best for me at this time,” said Riskii.
Riskii’s other releases include YN, Upsessful and Rapid.
