Formula One: The Hungarian Grand Prix

The 14th instalment on the 2025 Formula One (F1) calendar, the Hungarian Grand Prix, takes centerstage this weekend and JustBet offers 40 betting options in the categories of pole (starting) position, race result, classification (see note below), and safety car (pace car) involvement. Additionally, JustBet offers outright season odds that include the driver and constructor (car or engine builder) who tallies the most points for the season and walks away with the championship trophies.

Note: The difference between classification and non-classification is 90 per cent race distance. If a driver covers 90 per cent of the distance from the winner, then the driver is classified as a finisher, even if the driver retires before the finish.

The 2025 calendar marks the 75th anniversary of the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) F1 World Championship and includes 24 Grand Prix weekends, including six F1 Sprint races, taking place around the world from March through December. The circuit spans 21 countries across five continents and includes recent additions Las Vegas, Miami and Saudi Arabia.

The Hungarian Grand Prix is held annually at the Hungaroring racetrack located on the northeastern outskirts of Budapest. The event has been a regular fixture of the FIA Formula One World Championship since 1986, traditionally taking place between mid-July and late August. The track is 4.381 km long and the race is completed over 70 laps.

Last year, at the Hungarian Grand Prix, Lando Norris took the pole position, but finished second behind current points leader Oscar Piastri, and just ahead of Lewis Hamilton. Piastri and Norris are joint JustBetfavourites to win the race this weekend and are also a close first and second on the points leaderboard, 266 and 250 points, respectively, but the narrow, twisty and often dusty Hungaroring racetrack often sees ‘processional races’, with cars following one another for most of the race, so the result is hard to predict.

Three practice session are scheduled, two on August 1 and one in the morning of August 2, before qualifying takes place late morning on August 2. The Hungarian Grand Prix takes place on Sunday, August 3, with the top drivers on the circuit all set to go.

Piastri has six wins so far, this F1 season, and has finished in the top five in 12 of the 13 races completed, while Norris has four wins and has also finished in the top five in 12 of the 13, so the championship race appears to be between those two. The defending F1 World Drivers’ Champion, Max Verstappen, with 185 points, has only two wins and 10 top-5 finishes and therefore appears to be out of the running, while Lewis Hamilton, the only active driver with seven championships (retired Michael Schumacher also has seven), hasn’t had a win this season, despite five top-5 finishes.

JustBet has Piastri favoured to win the driver championship and Ferrari favoured to win the constructor crown (without McLaren who are runaway leaders), but this is just over halfway through the season and there are a lot of races to come. Verstappen is still within striking distance, but JustBet has him as an extreme longshot, although odds are offered for a winner for the drivers’ championship, without Piastri and Norris considered. All bet options are available on the JustBet website, including exotics odds offered on the ‘winning nationality’, ‘fastest team pit stop’ and ‘first driver to make a pit stop’. The list of JustBet offerings is long, but the grueling, 70-lap journey is so much more. Strap in, buckle up and brace for the latest installment in this pinnacle of motorsports.

JustBet continues to offer attractive betting options on all popular sports and events (including virtual games) as soon as they become available. Please visit one of the over 130 locations (or visit www.supremegames.com/#/prelive) for details and place your bets on the prediction of your choice for maximum winnings…… Get in the GAME!
