Dream Wknd in full swing
Ron Burke of Dream Entertainment, promoters of Dream Wknd, says all systems have been going well for this year’s staging.
With 16 years under its belt, Dream Wknd continues to attract a large number of patrons.
Dream Wknd runs from August 1-5 in Negril, Westmoreland.
“Dreamers can expect brand new elements to the events that add to the already pulsating atmosphere savoured by our Dreamers — they won’t want to leave. New set-ups bringing each event to life, new additions to said events for example at Wet N Wild… [with] rides, building out more pools for the patrons, a lot of never-before-seen stuff going on…” Burke told the Jamaica Observer on the weekend.
Celebrity Playground kicked off the party series on August 1, followed by Daydreams and YUSH on August 2. Wet N Wild and World Vibes follow on August 3, while Xodus Remedy and Twisted Spiritz are to be held on August 4. Igloo brings the curtains down on August 5.
“Each event has their own unique elements that contribute to a different feel of that event… that’s how we try our best to keep the brand fresh, exciting, and get Dreamers to return time and time again,” explained Burke.
Among the acts for this year’s staging are Queen of the Dancehall Spice, Likkle Addi, Agent Sasco, Jamal, Jahvinci, Ayetian, Ding Dong, and Stone Bwoy.
Said Burke: “The focus every year is always on the experience, those brand name headliners are whom we use to enhance the experience, but our production of Dream Wknd means everything from logistics to DJ selection to the inclusive food and drink…. We know our Dreamers come out for their favourite artistes but a smooth operation stands out to a patron just as much as a headliner, and, as such, we have to meet the needs of our patrons to the best of our ability.”
