SANDALS Dunn’s River recently partnered with Windsor Therapeutic Centre in St Ann’s Bay to celebrate the boys in its care through a heart-warming awards ceremony.

Held under the theme ‘God’s Plan and Purpose for Children and Family: Breaking Unhealthy Patterns’, the event highlighted the importance of family, healing and recognition, offering the boys a special moment to be acknowledged for their growth, achievements and potential.

“We are extremely thankful to Sandals for being part of this journey,” a release from the resort chain quotes Windsor Therapeutic Centre Manager Wayne Grant. “Celebrating our boys in this way sends a powerful message that they matter, that they are seen, and that they are capable of greatness.”

As part of the day’s festivities Sandals Dunn’s River team members brought gifts and sweet treats for the boys. Team members from Sandals Royal Plantation also helped serve food to those who were in attendance.

The award ceremony recognised boys who had demonstrated leadership qualities, made academic improvements, or showed positive personal development. For many, the recognition served as motivation to keep striving despite the challenges they have faced.

“When we recognise our boys we are telling them they are valued, not just for what they have overcome but for who they are becoming,” the release quotes Keish Beckford, regional public relations coordinator at Sandals Dunn’s River. “This kind of encouragement will shape them for a lifetime and help break harmful cycles.”

The day’s proceedings came to a close with a delicious lunch, shared moments of reflection, and a renewed sense of pride among the boys.

“It was an inspiring day that reinforced the power of positive encouragement and the role of community in shaping future men,” the resort group said.
