Police investigating skeletal remains found in Clarendon
CLARENDON, Jamaica — The police have launched an investigation into the discovery of skeletal remains in Clarendon on Tuesday, but cannot yet confirm whether they are human.
The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) confirmed the find in a remote section of Buzz Rock, Effortville, Clarendon. Reports from the May Pen police are that about 11:30 am, lawmen were conducting an operation in the area when they discovered the remains.
The police said that due to the terrain, the forensic and fire department personnel are unable to retrieve the remains, and as of Tuesday evening, it had not yet been established whether the remains are of human or animal origin.
Investigations are ongoing.
