Reggae singer Sophia Brown is having the time of her life as she undertakes a month-long tour of Europe.

“This is my first European tour since 2013, and I am very excited about it. It’s been a long time since I’ve had a chance to perform for my European fans and it feels so good to reconnect with them. Being in Europe when so many festivals are taking place in the summer is a great opportunity for me to reintroduce myself to this market,” said Brown.

The tour kicked off with a show in Hanover, Germany, on July 19. Since then she has performed at several other events in Hamburg and Frankfurt. Brown also took the stage at Reggae Jam festival in Bersenbrück, Germany, from August 1 to 3.

“The tour got off to a good start. So far, I’ve been doing club events, and fans are showing me a lot of love. I am looking forward to performing at bigger events… After Reggae Jam I’ll be heading to Austria and Malta for a series of shows before I return to Jamaica,” she said.

Sophia Brown plans to resume working on her new album as soon as she returns to the island.

“As soon as I get home I am heading straight into the studio to work on my fifth full-length project. After my mom passed away I paused recording for a while, but now I’m ready to return to my music. This album has been on the back burner for a while, and it’s time to complete it. I’m not sure yet, but I might release it early next year. I also plan to release another book very soon.”
