St Lucia introduces 10-year passports
CASTRIES, St Lucia — The Government of St Lucia has officially started issuing 10-year passports, moving away from the previous five-year validity period on the travel documents.
The change took effect August 5, fulfilling commitments announced by St Lucian Prime Minister Philip J Pierre during the country’s Budget Address earlier this year.
Passport fees will remain the same, and the Government says this upgrade is designed to deliver tangible benefits to St Lucian citizens by reducing the frequency of renewals and associated costs.
The Government said the introduction of the 10-year passport reflects its broader commitment to modernising public services and improving citizen convenience.
