Emancipation Day on Friday, August 1, 2025 became a double celebration of freedom and faith as multi-Grammy Award winner CeCe Winans ministered to an estimated 15,000 people at the East Lawns of King’s House for her More Than This tour stop in Kingston.
Under the patronage of Governor General Sir Patrick Allen, gospel artiste Winans inspired and blessed with her catalogue of inspiring hits, along with Jamaican gospel artistes Kevin Downswell, Chevelle Franklyn, Prince Saj, and Johnmark Wiggan. Beyond the music, the concert was a vehicle to serve the Jamaican community with 100 per cent of the net profits supporting local charities.
