Recording artiste charged with robbery with aggravation
KINGSTON, Jamaica – A recording artiste from St Catherine has been charged with robbery and weapon-related offences following an incident on Newlands Road, Portmore in the parish on Monday, July 7.
Charged is 29-year-old Yashoy Clarke, otherwise called ‘A Suh Boss’, a recording artiste of Lincoln Avenue, Kingston and Padmore district, Red Hills, St Andrew.
Clarke has been charged with robbery with aggravation, possession of prohibited weapon, using a firearm to commit a scheduled offence, receiving stolen property and conspiracy.
Reports from the Caymanas police are that about 12:30 pm, a man was at his repair shop when Clarke and two other men posing as customers entered and brandished firearms. They bounded his hands, forced him on the floor and proceeded to rob him of his belongings before escaping in two waiting vehicles.
A report was made to the police and an investigation launched. Clarke was subsequently arrested and charged on Tuesday, August 5 after an interview in the presence of his attorney.
His court date is being finalised.
His accomplices are being sought by the police.
