Sunshine Snacks forges partnership with JFF ahead of final World Cup qualifiers
The Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) has announced Sunshine Snacks Jamaica as an official sponsor of the Reggae Boyz Road to 2026 Campaign, ahead of the team’s final qualifying round of games next month for the FIFA World Cup next summer.
Sunshine Snacks says it is reinforcing its commitment to national pride through this partnership.
JFF President Michael Ricketts says the campaign will cost the JFF roughly US$3 million (over J$478 million), making this sponsorship crucial to the campaign.
“We welcome Sunshine Snacks Jamaica to the Reggae Boyz family at a pivotal moment in our journey,” he says. “Their support not only energises our campaign but puts us in a stronger position to prepare meaningfully for the road ahead.”
As part of the sponsorship agreement, Sunshine Snacks will be present at the National Stadium for home matches, with give aways and in-stadium engagement.
“We are honoured to partner with the Reggae Boyz on this historic campaign,” Sunshine Snacks Marketing Manager Shantell Hill Afonso says. “As a proudly Caribbean brand, Sunshine Snacks is committed to celebrating the best of our region through sport on the global stage. Supporting the Boyz is a natural fit, just like the team, it’s our time to shine. We look forward to bringing Jamaica to the world as fans enjoy our brands on the road to World Cup 2026.”
JFF interim General Secretary Roy Simpson says they proudly welcome Sunshine Snacks.
“This partnership reflects growing confidence in our national programme and reinforces our ‘Football for the People’ mission,” he says. “With Sunshine Snacks’ support, we bring the game closer to every Jamaican as we push toward World Cup qualification. We thank them for backing the Reggae Boyz and the nation.”
JFF Ambassador Tanya Lee Perkins is a key figure to its sponsorship thrust.
“Sunshine Snacks continues to show up for Jamaican football — from their sponsorship of the Jamaica Premier League to now backing our Boyz,” she says. “We’re proud to have them on board and look forward to more exciting announcements. The budget for qualification is significant, and the support of sponsors like Sunshine Snacks makes all the difference.”
The Reggae Boyz will play six final-round matches. Their first match window sees them away to Bermuda on September 5 then back in Kingston on September 9, hosting Trinidad and Tobago at the National Stadium. This is followed by windows in October and November when they play the reverse of these fixtures but also face Curacao home and away to close out the final round of qualification.
