Manchester man charged with shop breaking

KINGSTON, Jamaica – A 20-year-old man from Manchester has been charged with shop breaking with intent following an incident in the parish on Friday, August 1.

Jovian Beckford of Prospect district has been charged.

According to reports from the Mandeville police, about 9:50 pm, a woman securely locked the establishment and went home. When she returned the following day, she noticed that window blades had been removed.

After checking, she discovered that nothing was missing. An investigation was launched, and the evidence gathered implicated Beckford. He was arrested on Tuesday, August 5 and subsequently charged on Wednesday, August 6.
