Athlete of the Year Fraser McConnell’s thrilling 2025 RallyX Series campaign comes to a close this weekend at the legendary Estering Rallycross track in Buxtehude, Germany.
Known for its dramatic opening corner, challenging gravel sections, and a joker lap positioned at the very end of the course, Estering demands both technical mastery and lightning-fast starts. It is the perfect stage for a championship-deciding finale.
McConnell’s season began in Portugal in March and has been marked by consistent podium finishes, keeping him firmly in the title hunt. His momentum surged in Nysum, Denmark, during the penultimate race weekend on August 1 and 2, when he secured back-to-back first-place finishes.
Heading into this final double-header, McConnell sits on 101 points, just two points behind season-long leader Casper Jansson, and three points ahead of longtime teammate Oliver Eriksson. With only five points separating the top three OMSE teammates, the 2025 RallyX Championship remains wide open.
“This is what you race for, a season coming down to the wire at one of the most iconic tracks in rallycross,” said McConnell. “I’m ready to give it everything for the fans, my team, and Jamaica.”
