CIBC Caribbean recently introduced Annique Dawkins as its new head of country – Jamaica during the Business Banking Mix & Mingle: Jazz on the Rooftop event held at CRU Bar in Kingston. The upscale networking evening brought together a diverse group of business banking clients from Kingston and St Catherine, corporate partners, and special guests for conversation and live music. Dawkins, formerly head of corporate banking at CIBC Caribbean, brings extensive experience managing large portfolios and strategic client partnerships across multiple sectors. Her promotion reflects the bank’s ongoing commitment to client-centric leadership and a deep understanding of Jamaica’s evolving business landscape.
In his opening remarks, Owen Francis, director of personal and business banking, welcomed Dawkins and emphasised CIBC’s dedication to empowering businesses with innovative financial solutions. Dawkins reaffirmed this pledge, highlighting personalised support for businesses at all stages through offerings like the Women in Business programme and the JetBlue Business Credit Card. She also praised internal teams for nurturing strong client relationships islandwide. Special guests from the Development Bank of Jamaica and FosRich Group were recognised for advancing SME financing and renewable energy initiatives. The event closed on a high note, underscoring CIBC Caribbean’s active role in fostering growth and collaboration within Jamaica’s business community under Dawkins’ leadership.
