Second time’s charm as Dr Gabrielle Henry crowned Miss Universe Jamaica
Dr Gabrielle Henry entered the Miss Universe Jamaica beauty pageant a second time. This time, she came out victorious.
On Saturday night, Henry was crowned Miss Universe Jamaica 2025 by outgoing queen, Rachel Silvera, inside a jam-packed standing room only ballroom at the AC Hotel in St Andrew.
Henry, a 28-year-old ophthalmologist who studies at the University of the West Indies (Mona), first entered the pageant in 2023 and made the Top 5.
“Re-entering was something that I reflected on for sometime now. This pageant is something of a platform that allows women to become the finest version of themselves, and I wanted to re-enter to embody that, and to show women, especially those my age, that you can do anything that you want to,” Henry told Observer Online post-pageant.

Naima Scott, Shiann Excell and Dreanna Williams also made the Top 6 finalists.
Making the Top 15 (slashed from 27) were Nastassia Haughton, Zoan Edwards, Marian Millaneise, Thiana Feanny, Simone Gardner, Rajivea Soman, Barbie Mudahy, Kennya Young and Keandra Wellington.
Henry will represent Jamaica at the 2025 Miss Universe pageant, which takes place November 21 in Nontharubi, Thailand.
