Applications now open for FIFA 2026 World Cup volunteer programme
Applications are now open for the FIFA World Cup 2026 Volunteer Programme with more than 65,000 volunteers expected to participate.
This was announced by FIFA President Gianni Infantino on his Instagram account on Monday, noting that this will be the largest volunteer programme for FIFA to date.
“I am pleased to announce that FIFA has launched the application process for the FIFA World Cup 2026 volunteer programme and with around 65,000 volunteers expected to participate, this will be the largest volunteer programme for a FIFA event to date,” Infantino said.
“Volunteers are the heart, soul and smile of FIFA tournaments. They get to show off their local pride, gain a behind-the-scenes view of the tournament and make memories and friendships that can last a lifetime, while supporting a historic event. We hope interested individuals will join us as we welcome the world to North America in 2026,” he added.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be hosted between June 11, 2026 and Sunday, July 19, 2026 in North America with Canada, Mexico and the United States as the host countries.
