‘Yashii-Poo’ charged with murder of 16-year-old
KINGSTON, Jamaica —A 29-year-old man has been charged with the 2024 murder of a 16-year-old girl, police say.
Yashoy Clarke, otherwise called ‘Yashii-Poo’, of Lincoln Crescent, Kingston 5, was charged in relation to the murder of 16-year-old Bianca Thompson of Albion Avenue, Kingston 5, on February 25, 2024.
Reports from the Denham Town police are that about 11:22 pm, Thompson was at home when Clarke and three other men entered her home and allegedly opened gunfire, hitting her in the upper body.
The men then reportedly made their escape. Thompson was taken to hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Investigations led to the arrest of Clarke. He was subsequently charged with murder, shooting with intent, possession of a prohibited weapon, unauthorised possession of ammunition and using a firearm to commit a felony.
