Dream Wknd 2026 for MoBay
ST JAMES, Jamaica—The Dream Entertainment team has officially anounced that Dream Wknd 2026 will staged in the resort city of Montego Bay from July 30 to August 4, 2026.
“The rumors are absolutely true. Dream weekend 2026 will be held in the tourism capital of Jamaica, Montego Bay,” said Kamal Bankay, chairman of Dream Entertainment Limited, organisers of Dream Wknd.
He was speaking at the Montego Bay launch event held at Pier One on Wednesday evening.
Harmony Beach Park, the Aqueduct, and the Montego Bay Convention Centre, have been named by organisers as “options for the variations of venues that Montego Bay has to offer”.
The popular event, which has been staged in Negril for the past 16 years, is relocating to the tourism capital, which has had a long history of hosting one of the biggest music festivals in the western hemisphere, Reggae Sumfest.
Among the appeal to St James’ capital city is the massive hotel room stock, which makes up 30 per cent of the total stock of the rooms in the island, larger venues, bigger road networks and of course, a close proximity to the Sangster International Airport.
Bankay thanked Negril for hosting the event over the years, but noted the move to Montego Bay was critical to the carnival’s growth.
“We were in Negril for 16 years, we love Negril and we take nothing for granted,” he said.
