Jamaica take on regional rivals at Goodwill Swimming Championships
Jamaica’s youth team to the 2025 Goodwill Swimming Championships, August 15-17, arrived in Barbados on Wednesday, ready to take on their top swimming counterparts in the region.
As they stepped off the airplane, the excitement was palpable.
The team, comprising talented young athletes, experienced coaches, and dedicated management officials, was eager to get settled into the Games Village and start preparing for the competition.
After settling in at their place of accommodation alongside regional competitors, the Jamaicans headed to the pool for their first official training session.
The swimmers went into the water, fine-tuning their techniques and sharpening their race strategies. The training session was crucial in helping the athletes get familiar with the venue and build momentum ahead of the opening events.
With spirits high and determination in their eyes, Team Jamaica were ready to showcase their talent and competitive spirit, aware they are not just representing themselves, but also flying the black, green, and gold flag with pride, and are eager to make their country proud.
The Goodwill Swimming Championships promises to be an exciting celebration of sporting excellence and camaraderie, bringing together some of the region’s most promising young athletes.
