McConnell hails ‘incredible’ 2nd-place finish in 2025 RallyX Series
Fraser McConnell capped off a highly successful 2025 RallyX Series with two podium finishes at the legendary Estering Rallycross track in Buxtehude, Germany, to secure second place overall in the championship.
The double-header finale saw the Jamaican driver claim back-to-back third-place finishes in the FC2 Finals, maintaining his consistent form against a competitive field.
The 2025 RallyX Series spanned 13 events over seven weekends, starting in Portugal on March 29. Apart from Denmark — where McConnell used prior experience to secure back-to-back victories — every track was new to him. Despite the unfamiliarity, he remained a consistent podium threat, accumulating 13 podium spots from eight rounds, including two first-place wins, six second-place finishes, and five third-place finishes across Portugal, Netherlands, Latvia, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, and Germany.
“This season has been an incredible journey,” said McConnell. “Finishing second overall against such a strong field of drivers and on mostly new tracks is an achievement I’m proud of. It was also good to see home support here at the final, including my sponsors, the JTB.”
Peter McConnell, Fraser’s agent and father, praised his performance.
“Fraser is grateful to his sponsors — JustBet, Proven, JTB, TruShake, Uncle Saaal, and S Hotel — for making it possible to race internationally this season. We value their support and always aim to represent them and our country at our best,” said the senior McConnell.
