McCallum’s last bell
Legendary Jamaican boxer Michael McCallum was laid to rest on Saturday after a thanksgiving service for his life at Holy Trinity Cathedral in Kingston.
Scores of Jamaicans attended the service marked by glowing tributes to the man nicknamed The Bodysnatcher who dominated opponents to win the WBA Middleweight and WBC Light heavyweight titles.
McCallum, who was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2003, died on May 31, 2025 in Las Vegas, United States, at the age of 68.
