‘All indications are for a third term for JLP’ — Holness
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) leader, Prime Minister Dr Andrew Holness, has indicated that he is prepared to continue representing the people of St Andrew West Central as long as they want him.
Addressing members of the media a short while ago, after he was nominated to defend the seat he has held for some 27 years, Holness said, based on logic, the JLP has done very well and should be given a third term.
According to the JLP leader, once you go into an election, you have to be prepared to win or lose, but all indications are for a third term for the JLP.
He also indicated that the polls done by his party in 23 constituencies do not align with other national polls.
The People’s National Party’s Paul Buchanan has also been nominated to contest the seat.
