Paul Buchanan arrives with supporters in nomination bid to unseat Holness
ST ANDREW, Jamaica — Having boldly declared at a People’s National Party (PNP) rally in Cross Roads, St Andrew, on Saturday that he will end Dr Andrew Holness’s 26-year hold on St Andrew West Central in the September 3 General Election, Paul Buchanan is now leading a group of supporters to Waltham Education Centre, where he is to be nominated.
Accompanied by the councillor for the Molynes Gardens Division, the usual PNP candidate for the constituency, Patrick Roberts, Buchanan has argued that the time has come to retire Holness.
He has told supporters not to be daunted by the task of unseating Holness, who has served as prime minister for the past nine years.
Buchanan is a former Member of Parliament for St Andrew West Rural.
