KINGSTON, Jamaica — An education conference focusing on literacy and neurodiversity will be held in Kingston this October, courtesy of Winsome Wishes for Kids WWKIDS, a non-profit organisation based in the United States.
Booked for the S Hotel from October 1st to 3rd , the WWKIDSEducational Conference will be held under the theme “Unlocking Potential with Literacy, Neurodiversity and Family Empowerment”.
The host organisation was founded by Simone Sobers Fisher, who is also the organiser of the conference.
“The conference will take place daily from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, with each day bringing a unique focus. Day one will focus on foundations and fundamentals of early literacy, day two will focus on supporting students beyond the classroom, and Day three will focus on practical tools and strategies that work in the classroom,” Sobers Fisher said.
Keynote speakers will be Grace Bastin and Dr Devin Kearns, and organisers say the conference will connect parents, educators and advocates from across the region. Registration for the conference can be done at https://tr.ee/WWKIDSEdConf.
