Reggae Girlz opponents in group B of Concacaf W qualifier decided
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaica’s group for the first round of qualifying for the Concacaf W championships and the FIFA Women’s World Cup was decided during the official draw that took place in Miami on Wednesday.
Jamaica was one of the six pre-seeded teams and was placed in Group B, where they will be joined by Guyana, Nicaragua, Dominica and Antigua and Barbuda for the first round that kicks off in November and will end in April 2026.
Each team will play four games, two at home and two away and the winners of the six groups will join the USA and Canada, who received byes, in the Concacaf W Championships that will be played in November 2026 and will serve as the Confederation’s qualifier for the FIFA Women’s World Cup Brazil 2027 and the 2028 LA Summer Olympics.
The semi-finalists at the Concacaf W Championships will earn qualification to the FIFA World Cup, while the finalists will also qualify for the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028.
